Completely Customizable: That’s BSM’s Way

After browsing our steering column selection, sometimes a customer will reach us knowing exactly what they want. And we hear them! There’s nothing wrong with being decisive, and if we determine that you fit under this category, we can typically offer immediate quotes and lead times.

However, orders sometimes get a little more complicated, which is where our customer-focused M.O. comes into play.

Here are a few examples:

1.      You may know a reference product, but want a minor change.

2.      You may have a competitor’s column to reference and want our equivalent.

3.      You may not know our product line, but know the functions and features you want in a standard product.

4.      You know the functions and features you want and need a fully custom steering column.

During our first point of contact, we strive to hear you out and determine which category you fall under, because each one requires a unique approach to ensure the end goal of customer satisfaction.

Categories One and Two

Because we take customer needs into account, we’re able to quickly narrow down your desires into specifics and produce our legendary fast turnaround times.

We’ll generally be able to get back to you within 48 hours if it’s determined you only need a few changes on a pre-existing design.

However, if you want the equivalent to a competitor’s model, we can draw one up in less than a week, given that it’s similar to one of our designs.

Categories Three and Four

If you’re unfamiliar with our line of steering columns, fear not – we’re here to guide you.

We’ll first listen to you to understand the limitations of your potential design, often using 3D CAD models to ascertain the locations of seats, firewalls, dash components, and the like. We use these to help us land on the best fit for you from our pre-designed line.
